Weekly Themes Designed for Children ages 3 - 7

This summer, give your child the gift of nature-filled days!

  • JUNE 19th through AUGUST 25th
  • Choose from 10 different themed weeks
  • Full Day Hours of Operation - 7:30am to 5:30pm - $250/week (Early care available for an additional fee)
  • Half Day Option - 7:30am to 12:00pm - $160/week
  • Located on the beautiful Pine Hill Waldorf School Campus in Wilton, NH

Week 1 – June 19th – 23rd – In the Summer Garden

Children will spend a week learning about gardening. We will be planting and tending the school garden. This week will be full of story, games, craft, song and both garden and woodland adventures. Our focus will be on the wonders of nature and how they help a garden grow.

Week 2 – June 26th – June 30th – On Top of the Sea

Through story, games, craft and song, our imaginations will lead us to discover the joy in activities that take place on top of water – Boating, sailing, and fishing will inspire our play.

Week 3 – July 3rd – July 7th – Fairy Gardens and Gnome Homes

This will be a week of building Fairy Gardens and Gnome Homes around campus! Our days will be filled with fairy and gnome stories, crafts, and songs. Nature treasures will be gathered daily – you never know what might magically make its way home!

Week 4 – July 10th – July 14th – Wonders in the Sky

Clouds, rainbows, sun, moon, and stars – these are the wonders in the sky! This week we will celebrate these natural wonders through story, games, craft and song.

Week 5 – July 17th – July 21st – Bugs Who Love to Fly

Through tending the garden, nature walks, story, games, craft and song, children will explore the world of flying insects! Opportunities to catch and observe bugs of all kinds will be part of daily activities.  Special “bug shaped” snacks bring an extra fun element to our days!

Week 6 – July 24th – 28th – Life Beneath the Earth

Who lives under our feet? When you flip over a rock or a log, what do you see? Who makes our garden soil extra nutritious for our veggies? This week we will explore the creatures living in our soil and among the grass. We are going to get down and dirty exploring life on and under the ground!

Week 7 – July 31st –  August 4th – Under the Sea

Through story, games, craft, song, and water play, children will immerse themselves in the magic of the Ocean. Mermaids, dolphins, magic seals - real and mythical ocean creatures will be part of our week.

Week 8 – August 7th – 11th – Where the Wild Berries Grow

We will enjoy hunting for nature’s candy – berries! We will learn about all the different edible berries that grow on campus and enjoy all things berries – muffins, pies, and cobblers – YUM!

Week 9 – August 14th – 18th – Let’s Go Camping!

Through story, games, craft and song, our preschool will become a week-long camp-out!  We will create a woodland campsite with a pretend fire pit and enjoy our “camp” snacks in the woods.  Weather permitting, children will even bring sleeping bags and be able to “camp” at naptime!

Week 10 – August 21st – 25th – Summer Garden Harvest

Our school garden will be ripe for harvest this week! We will get dirty tending the garden and harvesting our bounty. We will have fun preparing and eating foods we create from our daily harvest.
