Week 1 – June 20th – 24th – Celebrating Summer Solstice

Week 2 – June 27th – July 1st – In the Summer Garden
Through story, games, craft and song, children will immerse themselves in the magical world of gardening. They will learn about nature’s garden helpers and how to care for tender plants.
Week 3 – July 4th – July 8th – Music lives in me!
Children will spend a week celebrating music and song. Children will make musical crafts, play musical games, hear stories about musical people and finish off the week with a musical parade around campus using their own voices and instruments they’ve made! While in the forest, we will observe the sounds of nature and practice making forest instruments.
Week 4 – July 11th – July 15th – Bugs and Butterflies
Through nature walks, story, games, craft and song, children will explore the world of insects! Opportunities to catch and observe bugs of all kinds will be part of daily activities. Special “bug shaped” snacks bring an extra fun element to our days!
Week 5 – July 18th – July 22nd – The Magic Forest
Most of this week will be spent in our Magical Forest. Through nature walks, story, games, craft and song, children will enter the world of fairies and gnomes. We will build fairy and gnome houses and observe the beauty of our surrounding forests!
Week 6 – July 25th – 29th – Let’s Go Camping!
Through story, games, craft and song, our preschool will become a week-long camp-out! We will create a woodland campsite with a pretend fire pit and enjoy our “camp” snacks in the woods. Weather permitting, children will even bring sleeping bags and be able to “camp” at naptime!
Week 7 – August 1st – 5th – Fairy Tale Week
Through story, games, craft and song, the children will explore the world of traditional fairy tales. Our week will be filled with Princes, Princesses, Dragons and other magical creatures! Forest adventures will hold a fairytale element.
Week 8 – August 8th – 12th – The Wonder of the Ocean

Week 9 – August 15th – 19th – Storytelling and Puppet Making

Week 10 – August 22nd – 26th – Fairy Gardens and Gnome Homes
Our summer will end with a week of building Fairy Gardens and Gnome Homes around campus! Our days will be filled with fairy and gnome stories, crafts, and songs. Nature treasures will be gathered to bring home so children can create fairy and gnome structures in their own garden or forest!
