This summer the infant / toddler play yard is being redesigned and renovated to provide outdoor adventures scaled to our little ones.  It is a work in process.  So far, we have a new large raised vegetable garden that was planted by parents at our May celebration, new birch logs surrounding the sand box which the children like to climb on, and a chalk board (a creative way to repair a big hole in the picket fence.)  The old swing set climbing structure was literally cut-down-to-size so that it can be safely enjoyed by toddlers, with wide new steps that little ones can even crawl up, and a cave underneath for hiding in. A low cloth hammock and a wide double slide are coming soon. Now that it is summer, the toddlers are very excited to "go swimming" in a standard little wading pool that teachers fill with a hose.  Of course, the children still play in the little mountain laurel woods at each end of the yard, as well as run and pull wagons in the open area in the middle.

Thank you to so many parents and friends who are  pitching in to continue to improve our facilities and the children's experiences.
