Visiting Our School

Toddler V under log 0015.jpg

Anyone interested in early childhood education and care for their children is welcome to visit our school and its beautiful wooded setting on the Pine Hill campus. Tours are scheduled regularly and include brief visits in our classrooms and time for conversation with our director to learn more about our program and how we can best serve your family.

Naturally, parents and grandparents of enrolled children are welcome to visit their child at any time once coordinated with their child's teacher.  Breastfeeding mothers are encouraged to come in to nurse their baby whenever possible.

Local families with young children are invited to join A Child's Nature families and teachers for our Family Soup Nights and seasonal festivals throughout the year.

Enrolling Is Easy

Five Steps:

1.  Pre-register and schedule a visit

You are invited to visit our campus and receive a tour when considering A Child's Nature for your family. Please click the button on the left and fill out our online pre-registration form to schedule your first visit. You will receive a tour of our classrooms and discuss how we can best serve your family.

2. Complete All Enrollment Paperwork And Submit Application and Enrollment Fee

If after your first visit we come to a mutual decision our program is the right fit for your child, and we have available openings to meet your needs, you will move forward in the enrollment process. Your next step will be to complete necessary paperwork - this includes our application and enrollment contract, weekly schedule agreement, health forms from your pediatrician, and sign the parent handbook. You will also set up your family account through our MyProCare portal. This will include providing a brief biography for your child, setting up emergency contact and pick up permissions and gaining access to view your tuition bills and make online payments. All forms must be complete and submitted before your child's first day with us. Once we receive your paperwork along with the application fee ($25/child) and enrollment fee ($100/family), your place will be reserved and we will schedule a visiting day for you and your child in the classroom.

3.  Spend Time in the Classroom

One morning visit for you AND your child in the classroom is required before your child's first day. We have found when parents visit the class with their child, the child experiences less stress and a smoother transition into our program. During your visit, you and your child will experience daily life at our center.  Your child will have an opportunity to engage in both indoor and outdoor activities, meet the teachers, enjoy a delicious home-cooked morning snack, and play with new friends.  You will have an opportunity to talk further with the director and teacher about your child.  You will also receive information on practical details such as what to bring for your child's first full day.

4.  Submit Your Deposit

We require a deposit equal to 4 weeks of care. This deposit is due on or before your child's first day and is applied toward your first month's tuition.

5.  Welcome to our community!

Thank You for sharing your child with us!  We look forward to watching your child grow, discover, and find joy in his/her surroundings.  We also look forward to getting to know your family and cultivating a warm, loving community where all work towards the common goal of creating a safe, beautiful world for our children to flourish.

Register to be on our Wait List

If the program you were hoping to enroll in is full, we encourage you to register to be on our wait list. Occasionally, children change their schedule, graduate to new age groups, or families relocate leaving an opening. These openings are first offered to enrolled families and are next offered to families on our wait list.
